At The Green Spot, nail care doesn’t have to be stressful. Our TGS-certified pet nail technicians take a calm, kind, and flexible approach to every appointment. Whether your pet loves spa days or is a little unsure about the process, we’ll work at their pace to keep things positive and comfortable. We welcome all personalities, from easygoing pups to anxious or reactive dogs. Each appointment is designed around what helps your pet feel their best. Some dogs prefer being on the table, while some are more relaxed on the floor, and others do great when being gently held. We adapt to what works for each pet. If your pet is nervous around other animals or store environments, we can also arrange for you to enter through our back door to help make the visit as smooth as possible.
Healthy nails play a big role in how dogs and cats feel, move, and live day to day. Our Nail Trim Service keeps things simple, approachable, and centered around what’s best for each individual pet. There’s no need to choose a specific trim style when booking. Our experienced TGS-Certified Pet Nail Technicians will assess your pet’s comfort, nail condition, and tolerance, and use the method that makes the most sense for your pet.
For dogs, we often clip first and then grind if they tolerate it. This allows us to safely approach the quick while smoothing sharp edges, reducing scratching and protecting nail beds. For cats, we stick with clip-only trims — cat nails are much thinner, and grinding isn’t appropriate or necessary.
We’re always prepared with plenty of treats and a patience-first approach to help make nail trims a positive experience. We move at your pet’s pace, adjust as needed, and always prioritize comfort and safety over perfection.
Appointments take about 15 minutes and are available most days during store hours.
Can I stay with my dog during the appointment?
Yes! Some pets relax better with their person nearby, while others do best without distractions. We’ll let you know what’s likely to help your dog feel most comfortable.
Do you work with anxious or reactive dogs?
Absolutely. We’re experienced in working with dogs who need a little extra patience. If needed, you can use our back entrance to avoid walking through the store.
How often should my pet’s nails be trimmed?
Most dogs and cats do best with a trim every 4 to 6 weeks, although this may vary depending on their lifestyle and nail growth rate.
Can my cat get a nail trim here?
Yes! We offer nail trims for cats too, though grinding is available for dogs only.
Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome whenever possible; however, we recommend booking online to ensure your spot.
Healthy nails help your pet move comfortably and confidently. Let our caring team make it an easy, positive experience for both of you. Book your appointment up to 60 days in advance to ensure your pet stays on a proactive nail-trimming schedule.
